Residential Ratepayers Advisory Board

The Board consists of nine members – three appointed by the Governor (subject to confirmation by the Executive Council), three appointed by the Speaker of the House, and three appointed by the President of the Senate.

The Office of the Consumer Advocate receives advice on matters concerning the work of the Office from the Residential Ratepayers Advisory Board appointed pursuant to RSA 363:28-a.  The Board consists of nine members – three appointed by the Governor (subject to confirmation by the Executive Council), three appointed by the Speaker of the House, and three appointed by the President of the Senate.

In addition to its advisory responsibilities, the Advisory Board serves as a gatekeeper with respect to the appointment or reappointment of the Consumer Advocate by recommending candidates to the Governor.  The term of the incumbent Consumer Advocate expires on November 5, 2023.
